There are many benefits to tinting your car in the summer, both fashionable and functional. The most obvious functional benefit is that the tints will help protect your eyes from the glaring sun on those sunny summer days. Pair a good set of tints with the right sunglasses and you are good to go. We suggest getting to know all of the reasons to tint your car in the summer so you know what you’re looking for.
Other great benefits include preventing overheating, protecting skin from sun exposure, preventing accidents on the road, enhancing durability of the interior accessories, and looking cool, of course. Let’s look through each benefit of summer tints one by one, starting with the prevention of over heating. Prevent Overheating Whether you have air conditioning in your car or not, it is always possible for your car to overheat. The risk is especially high when you are stuck in traffic on a super hot and sunny day. The natural sunlight combined with the running engine are the perfect ingredients for an overheated car. Besides becoming uncomfortably hot, overheating can lead to your car turning off all together – which is the last thing you want while stuck in heavy traffic. Good, dark tints can help prevent this from happening. The dark tints will block over half of the sunlight coming through the windows of your vehicle. Skin Protection Have you ever noticed that your hands and forearms tan while you drive around in the summer time? It is a great way to get a farmer’s tan. Unfortunately, consistent tanning like this can be very damaging to your skin over time. In the short term it could cause the skin to burn and in the long-term you might see side effects related to permanent skin damage. In the same way that dark tints will help prevent you and your car from overheating, they will restrict sunlight from shining directly onto your skin. Prevent Accidents Did you know that window tinting have been proven to reduce car accidents? It’s not surprise considering how a good set of dark, summer tints can reduce the glare and shine of the sun. Imagine driving directly into the sun without tints. Not surprisingly, many car accidents happen this way. Squinting and hoping for the best is not a good option. Safety first – so, get yourself some dark summer tints instead. Bonuses If you have leather seats, you will love tints in the summer time. Overheating can damage the leather and other accessories in your car. Intense sunlight can even fade leather if it is a darker color. As a bonus, you won’t have to run your air conditioning constantly because the car will naturally be cooler. Getting your car to be an extension of your personality may come off to some as a type of sorcery. It could be of your favourite colour and its interior may be furnished to your liking. Unfortunately, that colour and interior may not be peculiar to you and going an extra mile will not come cheap. But how does your car stand out without breaking the bank and you sure as hell can't drive without your doors locked? The answer lies in vehicle wrapping.
What is a vehicle wrap? Vehicle wrapping or car wrapping essentially involves the use of large vinyl materials to cover a part or the full length of a car. It could transform a car into a moving billboard if wrap advertising is intended or it could be a window to your personality and make your car stand out. In the highly humid city of Hamilton, car wrapping is a smart financial move. One of the best car wrapping services in Hamilton, Hamilton Glass Experts offers standard wrapping services. Using only the best wrapping material available, the 3M 1080 film, you get your thoughts and features onto your car. Awesome right? Benefits of a Car Wrap This goes without saying that the car wrap is a medium of expression. You can mix colours, create a colour or draw abstract thoughts. It can also double as an unpaid advert space. Your business logo or contact card can be pasted on a door or on any part of your choice. As an added bonus, it has the potential to carry your business to the farthest parts or out of town. Why should you wrap your vehicle? You should wrap your vehicle because it is cheaper than a paint job. The humid weather of Hamilton makes it imperative to use really expensive paints to get the best results. Weather, on the other hand, has no impact on the application of a vehicle wrap. It dries up faster than a paint job and is sure to leave behind a clean finish. Similarly, vinyl wrap lasts longer and wears off slower than the average paint job. A vehicle wrap is versatile and options are unlimited. A vinyl wrap lets your imagination run wild, with designs and colours. What's more, it can be changed as much as you desire in the shortest time. Because changing a car paint takes a lot of time, a car wrap appointment can be set up in a short time. Coupled with the above, changing car wraps is relatively easy. You don't have to keep your car parked in a garage for a long time for its makeover. As a plus, vehicle wrapping protects the original paint job of a car and increases the resale value. Because the manufacturer's original paint remains untouched, you can get more value for your car in an event of a resale or a recall. The secret behind an amazing car wrap is the use of professionals and a company that knows it's stuff be it advertisement wrapping or just a personal vehicle wrap. Hamilton Glass Experts is all about getting the best results for your car wrapping or advertisement wrapping. Ever seen a movie where the windows steam up to imply romance? Well, the cold temperature outside and the warmth from body heat inside the vehicle have created a difference in temperature great enough to steam up the windows. This is why your windows will gather some condensation in the winter time. On the rather hand, the cool air is inside your vehicle in the summer. When we hit a high enough outdoor temperature this change will work in the opposite way. Cold air inside and warm air outside. Neat right? Not if your driving dow the Lincoln M. Alexander Pkwy in Hamilton, ON and you lose visibility! Also if visibility is an issue, you may want to consider booking an appointment for windshield tinting service here.
As pointed out on Reddit Hamilton and written about on the Hamilton Spectator website, Tesla recent filmed a commercial on a highway in the Hammer for its Model S vehicle The commercial, "Revolutionize your Commute", shows the white luxury liftback cruising on Highway 403 in downtown Hamilton between the York Boulevard and Main Street West off-ramps. It passes several local landmarks, including the Hamilton Spectator.
The backdrop on Highway 403 in Hamilton is very nice, which is likely why Tesla decided to film here, along with there being more reasonable traffic than there would have been closer to Toronto. There is a Tesla charging station in Hamilton at McMaster Innovation park, but the nearest dealership is in Toronto right beside Pearson International Airport (one of three GTA Tesla dealerships), so that is likely where the car came from. It looks like the commercial may have been filmed very recently as the weather and scenery match what we have currently in Hamilton - there’s no leaves on the trees and also no snow on the ground. Of course, to be fair, it could have also been filmed last fall or a year ago around the same time. The stretch of highway road is very curvy, allowing the film makers to show off the handling of the vehicle, which is a key theme of the commercial. Specifically, the video advertises that the Tesla S will “revolutionize your commute” because it: • increases safety & convenience • navigates the curves of the road • follows the flow of traffic • changes lanes with a single tap • and parks on your command This all sounds great. The only hurdle we see is the $101,900 - $146,000 Canadian price tag (depending on the battery you choose). That much for a battery, you say? Yes, in case you’ve been living under a rock, Tesla’s are all electric cars that need to be charged. Fortunately, each new version is providing more KM’s per charge, with the latest Tesla S having a 460 km range. That’s about the distance from Toronto to Ottawa, in case you were wondering. Not quite enough if you’re travelling from the Hammer to Canada’s Capital, but there are charging stations along the way. So, if you have $100,000+ to “revolutionize your commute”, the Tesla S may be for you. And if you do get a Tesla, you can trust Hamilton Glass Experts to reliably provide window tinting, paint protection, or any of our other professional services to the luxury vehicle. It may come of a bit of surprise to some, but, we do in fact offer home window tinting. We get requests for this all the time as it is both economical and environmentally friendly. In some case we get request from people that live in an area where the house are close to each other. They find that they can easily be seen inside of their house and get films for privacy reasons. Some other benefits are: reduced UV and solar energy entering your home to increase how comfortable the temperature of your home is. This also protect rom broken glass as the window will not violently shatter. Whatever your reason, our Hamilton tinting of home windows is just a call away!
